East Bay on the Brain (EBOB) is a quarterly reading series that showcases East Bay writers and writers who love the East Bay. We plan to run on a February, May, August, November schedule, on Saturday evenings, 7-9pm, though that may change if we outgrow our fabulous venue, The Layover, or life intervenes. Thus far, we have featured a range of writing, including short fiction, novel excerpts, poetry, and creative non-fiction, but are open to other forms. Just ask!
Founded and hosted by Lauren Becker, Editor-in-Chief of Corium Magazine, writer, and proud Oakland resident, EBOB hopes to collaborate with other reading series and events, journals, writing programs, book sellers, other talented artists, and writers and friends, to show off what we’ve got going on. Because we’ve got it going on.
Contact: Lauren at lbecker@coriummagazine.com with questions, comments, compliments, offers of website assistance, offers of patronage (i.e. financial assistance. No creepy or inappropriate strings attached, please), and/or pledges of lifelong devotion. We also enjoy haikus and riddles. Put “EBOB” in the subject line, please.
